NHL 1996/97 Fleer SkyBox Impact BladeRunners - No 6 of 25 - Doug Gilmour

This 175-card set featured color action player photos of 118 seasoned stars plus a 20-card Rookies subset (#119-#138) and a 10-card Power Play subset (#139-#148). These 10 Power Play cards had front designs that actually looked like miniature magazine covers. A special Stanley Cup logo appeared on all Colorado Avalanche player cards. The backs carried player stats, bio information, and a statement about the player as written by hockey HOF and Fox broadcaster Denis Potvin. A "John LeClair SkyPin Exchange" card, inserted at the rate of one in every 180 packs, entitled the collector to send for a John LeClair "preview card" from the proposed -- but never materialized -- SkyPin trading card line. One "SkyBox/Fox Game" card was inserted in every pack which enabled the holder to win big prizes from SkyBox, Fox, and the NHL.

Randomly inserted at the rate of 1:3, this 25-card insert set featured some of the fastest hockey players on ice. The fronts carried a color action player photo while the backs displayed player information.
