NHL 1996-97 SPx Gold - No 12 - Joe Nieuwendyk

The 1996-97 SPx set was issued in one series totaling 50 cards. One-card packs - each die-cut card features a full-motion hologram. Two special cards of Wayne Gretzky were randomly inserted, including a tribute (found 1:95), and an autographed tribute (found just one in 1297 packs). An additional special insert is the Great Futures card, which includes holoview images of four young stars (Eric Daze, Daniel Alfredsson, Vitali Yachmenev, and Saku Koivu) and was randomly inserted at a rate of 1:75 packs.

A parallel to SPx, these cards feature gold foil stock and were inserted 1:7 packs.
