NHL 1996 / 97 Topps Picks Top Shelf - No TS13 - Mats Sundin

This limited production 90-card set was distributed in seven-card packs (five-cards in Canadian packs). Topps and Fleer card companies joined together to each select a team of 90 hockey players. The cards in Topps set all have odd numbers because Topps had the first pick of players. Each card features color player photos with player career statistics, biographical information, and a "Topps Prediction" section which gave the upcoming season's goals, assists, wins and shutouts totals for each player as predicted by the Topps Sports Department. Each pack contained an official NHL/NHLPA Draft Game registration form which allowed the collectors the chance to draft their own players and create teams in order to win prizes in a fantasy league.

Randomly inserted at the rate of 1:12 packs, this 15-card set featured red foil-stamped cards of the league's top scorers and award winners of the 1995-96 season. The fronts displayed color player photos while the backs carried player information.
