The 1998-99 Finest set was issued in one series totaling 150 cards and was distributed in six-card packs.

Inserted one per hobby box, this seven-card set featured color action photos of top NHL players printed on oversized cards measuring approximately 3 1/4" by 4 9/16". A refractor parallel was also produced and inserted at a rate of 1 in 6 boxes.
