Released as two series, the base 300-card set was released under Be A Player Memorabilia, and the last 100-cards were released as Be A Player Memorabilia AS Update. Base cards feature color action photos and are enhanced with blue foil highlights. Gold and silver parallels of the set were also created and inserted into random packs. Gold parallels had a stated print run of 100 sets and silver parallels had a stated print run of 1000 sets. Be A Player Memorabilia was packaged in 24-pack boxes with packs containing eight cards.

Randomly inserted in American hobby packs at the rate of 1:32, this 12-card set featured former NHL greats from the New York Rangers and the Boston Bruins.
